Summer fun at Tilling Green

The fête was opened by Rye’s new mayor Berni Fiddimore and the town crier Rex swain.

There were stalls and activities from Rye Scouts, Rye Girl Guides, Rye Pre School Playgroup, the Oliver Curd Trust, St Michaels Hospice, Crazy Golf, Family Support, Rother Responders, Sweet Tooth, Magdela House Day Care Centre and there was also had a special visit from Hello Kitty and ninja turtles Michelangelo.

TGRA volunteers run stalls such as guess the weight of the cake, a cake stall, a sweet tombola, Ice Cream stand and a raffle which had prizes donated by local shops and businesses. The Robin Hood pub brought along there mobile bar and BBQ and Rye Dance Centre & Step and Dance were invited to come along and perform a 20 minute display to show off there dance moves.

Rock n Roll band Something Else provided live music and got a fantastic reception from the 500 plus people that attended the event.
