Sponsored head shave raises £1,300

A boy has raised more than £1,300 for charity by having his locks shorn off.

Joshua Watson, 12, a Lewes Priory School pupil, was sponsored in aid of the Quicken Trust, a Hailsham-based charity which provides support to orphans in Uganda.

The formerly hirsute student will have the chance to see at first-hand how the money will be spent when, together with his mum Emilie, he takes a ten-day trip to Uganda in July.
