Smoke detector warning
A smoke detector alerted a couple in their flat that smoke was coming out of the tumble drier.
A fire crew from Bexhill community station responded to the call-out at Nelson House in Birkdale at 4pm on Tuesday afternoon and made sure the equipment was safe.
Crew Commander Graham Hobden commented: "We would like to remind people to check they have a smoke detector and make sure it is working. If not, they need to contact us and we will get one fitted - we do home safety visits."
