Wannabe pop stars turned up to show off their talent in the hopes of making it through the open auditions, and a chance to appear before the judges on TV later this year.

Churchill Square centre director Mark Buchanan-Smith said: “We know that there are some incredibly talented bands and singers in the region and it was terrific to see so many people of all ages come along to show off their talent. As always we were not disappointed with the quality of the singing and dancing on display, and we’re all excited to find out whether the next star of tomorrow comes from the area.”
