The next Heathfield Show has been confirmed to take place at Little Tottingworth Farm, Broad Oak, on Saturday, May 25 next year.

The show had to be cancelled in 2000 due to bad weather and again in 2001 because of the outbreak of foot and mouth.

However, the chairman of the show council, David Unsworth White, said he was confident that next year s show would be one of the best ever, adding: 'The society has been overwhelmed by the support it has received from members, sponsors, exhibitors and friends of the society.

He said the show will include new and improved classes for horses and ponies, details of which will be available from February.
