The design of the seven storey building were criticised by some as ‘ugly’ while others argued it was ‘dragging Bognor into the 21st century’.

Roy Benedict Gibb said: “Looks great. Finally dragging the Bognor seafront into the 21st century. Hopefully a nice coffee shop at the bottom too.”

Rebecca Gracey said: “My immediate thoughts are that it is not in keeping with surrounding areas as it is way too high and unimaginative building design

Jackie Tye said: “Should be a business of some sort. Either a hotel chain of something else to bring people back in. Do we need more blocks of flats?”

Graham Partin said: “It won’t happen. There has to be at least 20 years of talking/planning/discussion and moaning first. It will end up in the ‘pending tray’ like the Regis Centre, sea front toilets and Sunken Garden area.”

Two retails units will feature on the ground floor of the building with a basement for residential parking.
