Police respond to worried mother after man talks to boy, five

The man, who had a black bulldog-type dog with him, was dropped off by a woman driving a car with a dog cage in the back on Tuesday last week (September 16).

He spoke to a five-year-old boy who was accompanied by an adult.

He told him that his dog was called Squishy.

A police spokesman said: “This may be a purely innocent conversation and the man made no attempt to touch the boy or coax him away, but his mother was worried about the incident.
