On Saturday July 26 the Flower Show and Fayre will be held in the Recreation Field, Pett, starting at 2pm. As well as the marquee with all the fantastic exhibits, there will be the usual attractions: a variety of stalls, fun for the children, a Pimms bar as well as the Tea Tent, run by Pett WI and, of course, the Fun Dog Show.

All entry forms and fees must be sent in not later that 8pm on Wednesday July 23 and all exhibits must be brought to the marquee on the day, between 8:15 and 10am.

This year, as well as being able to buy plants, handmade posies will also be being made, so if you have any flowers or foliage after making your exhibits, please bring them along.

And if that wasn’t enough for one weekend, there is Pett Piranhas Peculiar Picnic in the marquee on the Sunday. A fund-raising event for both POPPs and the new pavilion project, there will be a sit-down 2-course lunch with nibbles to start. A drink is also included in the ticket price of £10 for adults and £6 for children under 12. The event will be licensed with further drinks available and there will also be an auction and a raffle.
