Petition bid to keep Desert Quartet

THE Worthing Society will launch a petition this Saturday in a bid to support their campaign to retain the Desert Quartet sculptures for Worthing.

The event will take place in Liverpool Gardens, close to the sculptures and many supporters are expected to attend.

Politicians from all parties will be attending, including councillors Paul High ( Conservative), Robin Rogers ( Liberal Democrat) and Green party candidate James Pearson.

The petition aims to ensure that the sculptures, by Dame Elizabeth Frink, who died in 1993, permanently remain at their present site for which they were commissioned.
