The Gardener’s Arms will hold its fourth Dark Fest from tomorrow (Friday, February 28) to Sunday (March 1).

It will see the Cliffe High Street venue serve its 7,000th different ale since 2001, with the public invited to vote via its Facebook page for the ale to have the honour.

Johnathan Marshall, of the pub, said the event is ‘eagerly anticipated’ each year and aims to ‘encourage people to experience and go for stuff they wouldn’t normally drink’.

Highlights on offer will include a new vanilla milk stout produced by Burning Sky brewery, in Firle, and an opportunity to try an early release of this year’s Harvey’s porter.

The festival, which is free to enter, will run on Friday and Saturday from 11am to 11pm and on Sunday from midday to 11pm.
