Horsham District Council, in partnership with neighbouring local authorities, has secured funds through the Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery Scheme.

The scheme has been set-up to provide funds for solid wall insulation and heat pumps and it can also fund other energy efficiency improvements such as low carbon heating.

Residents with a household income of up to £30,000, living in a property with a low energy rating performance of E, F or G can qualify.

Horsham council cabinet member for community matters Tricia Youtan said: “With residents spending more time at home currently as a result of the pandemic, it has become more important than ever for them to keep their houses warmer.

“The beauty of this scheme is that it can achieve warmer homes for the district’s residents, whilst also helping them to do their bit to become more energy efficient and help the local environment.

“I would encourage as many residents as possible to find out if they are eligible then apply for the funds before they run out.”
