In December, just in time for Christmas, the team delivered Bags of Goodness to people in Polegate and their surrounding communities, boosting joy during the festive season in what has been a difficult year and Christmas for us all.

This is part of a recent venture in Polegate supporting local people and thanking those who have gone above and beyond to support others this year during the coronavirus pandemic.

They delivered more than 40 packages to those who may benefit from a few extra gifts this year.

The parcels included gifts and treats along with food items for all of the families and individuals supported.

Nathan Dunbar, who organises the Scarecrow Festival in Polegate each year and who has been instrumental in setting up the Bags of Goodness project, said: “We also delivered support packages to local doctor surgeries, care homes and emergency service workers thanking them for their exceptional work this year.”

Nominations were sent in from the people in Polegate and many donated food, gifts and money to brighten Christmas for many local people.
