Firefighters called to Eastbourne house

Firefighters assisted paramedics at a house in Eastbourne last night (Wednesday, March 31).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) said crews were called to the scene in Ashington Road, Hampden Park just before 10pm.

A spokesman said two fire engines attended and the aerial ladder platform was used to rescue one person from the building.
