Charity football match in Eastbourne supports JPK Project
Eastbourne Town FC has held a charity football match and invited The JPK Sussex Project to the match against Newhaven at The Saffron’s Sports Ground.
Volunteers, six students from JPK and chairperson Jill Parker did a bucket collection.
Members and supporters donated in lieu of gate money and program sales which raised £900.
The amount was matched by Peer Pressure Supporters Club and MDJ Services Ltd to a final total of £1,800.
Jill said “The JPK will be eternally grateful to Eastbourne Town Football for their most generous support. We have made much progress over the last two years with our ability to commission the JPK Community Training Centre, to provide meaningful training and work experience for people with a learning disability and we could not have reached this stage without the support of so many people.
“Eastbourne Town Football Club will certainly be making a difference towards our next endeavour.”
