2 The Old Hop Gardens

Peasmarsh Annual Parish Assembly will take place on Wednesday May 29, 7.30pm at the Pavilion at The Maltings. This is your opportunity to find out what your Parish Council has been doing over the past year, and to ask any questions you may have.

A reminder that the Flower Festival at Peasmarsh Church this year will be on May 25 26 and 27. If you would like to join the team that decorates the church please get in touch with Dee Bull (07826 723409) who will be organising it this year. If you would like to help with the refreshments or the plant stall give Jenny Als a call 230324 and she will put you in touch with the right people. We are lucky to have such a beautiful church in Peasmarsh and it always looks absolutely stunning during the Flower Festival so make sure you go along to see it!

On the same Sunday (May 26) the second Rye Race will be taking place. Runners will be registering at The Cock Inn and the race will start at the entrance to Jempsons car park. Please note that Tanhouse Lane from Jempsons car park to the junction of school lane will be closed to traffic for approximately 30 minutes between 9.45am and 10.15am.

The Rye and District Association of the National Trust’s walk this month is based in Sandhurst – meeting near Johnson’s shop at 10.30am on Thursday May 23. There will be two circular walks; 4 miles in the morning and 3 miles in the afternoon with lunch at the Swan.

Services at Peasmarsh church this Sunday will be Holy Eucharist at 10am and Evensong at 3pm.
