Parking charge plans rejected
BATTLE Town Council rejected plans to charge for parking in the overflow car park at Mount Street.
The new landowner suggested tarmacing the land, charging for parking to cover the costs.
But the council decided to uphold the grounds on which the land was leased - to provide free car parking to residents and businesses in the town.
