THE "TWEENIES" came out to play on Saturday to help raise money for the Cancer Research Campaign Shop in Lancing.

THE "TWEENIES" came out to play on Saturday to help raise money for the Cancer Research Campaign Shop in Lancing.

Sheila Gordon, who manages the shop in North Road, said they held a special day, which raised just over 400 to go towards funding more research into children s cancer.

Mrs Gordon added: "We had a really good day. Obviously, we had four of the staff who were dressed as Tweenies, which brought a lot of people into the shop."

There was a tombola and customers also had the chance to buy a lucky ticket to win a children s bike.

Mrs Gordon said people could buy tickets at the shop for the next two weeks if they wanted a chance to win the bike.
