WOOD: Just like the weed

What strikes me is the similarity with the seaweed problem.

Many years ago, the farmers were allowed to take the seaweed from the beach for free but when the council tried to charge them, they abandoned the practice '“ hence the piles of smelly rotting seaweed that residents have to endure.

Apart from the obvious issues of health and safety, if people had been allowed to take the timber it would probably have all disappeared by now!

Has anyone else made a similar comment?
