Does the Angmering, Roundstone, quarrel simply demonstrate how positive planning is needed?

It should be the village and district that decides what, if anything, is to be done in this area. Land for housing needs to be zoned and land also needs to be kept for recreation, schools, principal roads etc.

Developers can then come in and provide detailed plans for the housing sites and proceed with them, having no involvement elsewhere.

Recreational and various other zones are the concern of the county and other local authorities, funded by normal tax-raising measures.

What seems to be happening at present is something out of Disneyland.

The country has been digging itself into a hole as long as I can recall, and the local housing explosion is proof positive.
