Uppark House and Garden
Print room opens
Uppark’s lovely 18th century Print Room is only open seven times a year. Over 60 prints are arranged like a miniature picture gallery, each with its own decorative paper frame, below which sit cut-out watercolours of flowers in delicate terracotta pots.

The Great British Walk celebrates autumn colour

Hide AdPetworth House guides lead a series of walks, taking in the park’s autumn colour and harvest, as well as some of the views that inspired our greatest landscape artist JMW Turner. A highlight of the season is the exciting fallow deer rut; deer have been at Petworth for centuries and are captured in Turner’s painting Sunset, Fighting Bucks, which can be seen in the Carved Room.
