Testing the shelters

LAST Thursday, my husband and I walked along the seafront in a howling south-westerly gale and we decided to see whether the infamous shelters really were fit for purpose in such weather. We can report that they most definitely were not, the only spot of shelter to be had was right up in the far corner '“ it was a most unpleasant experience. No matter where you sat, the wind swirled around us. So much for modern design and a council who would not listen to common sense.
