Surprised by petition at Eastbourne railway station for health centre

I was somewhat surprised to be asked to sign a petition against the closure of the walk-in centre in Eastbourne railway station.

I obviously signed it but I couldn’t help but question why a town that voted Tory would object to such closures.

It would appear that Tory voters are happy to vote for cuts, so long as the axe is never swung in their direction.
