The 5+A*-C benchmark, including English and Mathematics, improved for the second year running and a quarter of the GCSE grades were A or A*. This is in the light of tougher performance measures set by the Government.

Headteacher Anne Hutchinson said: “This was a year group with a much higher percentage of boys than girls and the boys managed to narrow the achievement gap to just 2%, which is significantly less than National and a fantastic achievement. All the students deserve their success as they have worked so hard and we are delighted for them. I know that they would want to pass on their thanks to the teachers who supported them through their five years with us. We know that our students will go on to do great things and wish them all the very best for the future.”
