Rydon hosts Korean teachers

Lee ji sun and Dakyung Yoon have been visiting lessons and observing how pupils at Rydon learn. Dakyung said: “The pupils are very polite, they will open doors for others and put their hands up to ask a question.”

Lee said the she was impressed by the way pupils are encouraged to be creative or work things out rather than learn by memorising facts.

Lee and Dakyung also visited Storrington First School for two days to see how younger pupils learn. Mrs Howarth, Rydon’s Professional Tutor, said: “We have tried to provide a range of experiences which should help them on their path towards becoming good teachers in their own country ‘. The two Korean teachers fly back to Seoul on Saturday.”
