Problem with bins

I’d like to thank Rother District Council for swapping the collection of garden waste for recyclables like glass and paper. A much more sensible arrangement than collecting garden waste that was too much for one bin in the summer and too little in the winter.

However there is a flaw in this marvelous system. Three bins take up too much space. If you have no need for a third bin and want to return it, the Council appear to have no mechanism to take these back. There also appears to be no information at Bexhill as to what to do it someone asks to return their bin.

So may I ask your readers for their suggestions as to how to dispose of a unsightly, empty and unwanted items - including brown bins.
