Live where you love...

‘Love where you Live, Love Recycling...so says the Rother leaflet...and yes we do..... but not when the rubbish starts to pile up. The ‘improved waste & recycling services’ have yet to impress the five residents of Wadhurst Lane Battle, whose refuse collection service seems to have disappeared off the radar.

Living in a lane with limited access and weight restriction, we have for many years enjoyed a weekly collection of general waste by a very friendly employee driving the small ‘caged’ refuse vehicle, and more recently disposed of our paper, cans and plastics every other week in blue and pink plastic sacks....collected in the same way. This has been an excellent service which since the new system was introduced on 30th June has disappeared.

Several of our residents have been phoning the help-line for the past week...and still we have no collection.

Should the situation remain the same by the time you read this, Rother can prepare itself for a Wadhurst Lane residents mutiny!!!
