Impossible to leave out WWII

Whilst spending a wonderful day yesterday at St Leonards festival I came upon a couple of stalls supporting Palestine.

I am a little bemused that there is so much support for Palestine in Hastings.

Is it because they feel an affinity towards the oppressed, the bad housing or lack of jobs?

I do not know what it is, but things are a lot worse in Gaza than here.

Having partially read one of their leaflets (I couldn’t finish it for laughing so much) I feel that these groups are doing no good for anyone.

The leaflet was full of historical “facts”, however only the facts that fitted their agenda.

How can you write a timeline of the Middle East whilst leaving out the second world war and its consequences?

How is it possible to start a sentence “In 1948 Israel killed 12,000 Palestinians …” without saying that it was a war situation, and not a war that Israel started.

You will not be able to help the Palestinians unless they have a democratic and fair government that helps the people and does not use them as pawns for their own advancement.
