I am Keane for a repeat of gig

I was lucky enough to get tickets for the Battle festival concert headlined by Keane, and ably supported by Dorey the Wise and Rachel Wilson.

It was simply a stunning evening in the gorgeous setting of Battle Abbey grounds.

Bathed in the light of a beautiful sunset, we were treated to two-and-a-half hours of great music.

Both support acts have been mentored by Tim Rice Oxley, and it showed, they were excellent.

Rachel Wilson performed a beautiful song with Tom and Tim, and Dorey the Wise joined the boys on stage for ‘Somewhere only we know’.

That was a hair rising on the back of your neck moment!

Keane themselves were superb, Tom Chaplin’s bell-clear voice ringing out over Tim Rice Oxley’s brilliant piano.

They covered all the classics, and were charming and engaging, even improvising through a couple of power failures.
