How can our ‘flawed’ prime minister carry on?

I am concerned about the ability of our prime minister to continue to command any respect within the country and abroad after his seriously flawed decision to continue to make excuses for the clear breach of the guidelines,he and his friend Mr Cummings, imposed upon the English people.

Many people have refrained from visiting dying relatives, pregnant daughters, elderly relatives, their grandchildren and other family members during the lock down period. The emotional costs of the lockdown, was balanced against the need to prevent further infections.

Many of us feel we have been made fools of and our adherence to the rules has been seriously exploited and together with our intelligence insulted, in order that one of the Mr Johnson’s friends can be accommodated and remain in post.

It was embarrassing to see the prime minister on television covering for his friend and insults both the position he holds and the Conservative members who placed him in such a position of authority along with the electorate, who are entitled to expect better of our prime minister.

I would expect both Mr. Johnson and Mr Cummings to do the decent thing and fall on their swords, but I am not holding my breath.
