WHAT a pleasure it was to read the article and the positive headling “Battle to save fort”.
Let us hope that all those mentioned in Tom Cotterill’s article have some success – not only has it fallen foul to natural erosion, but it was also vandalised by the council in 1955 after being declared dangerous – see my letter to the Gazette in February, 2008.
