I had to put pen to paper, in my upset and disgust at all the abandoned single use face masks, along Eastbourne to Bexhill Seafront and now blown in my Hailsham front garden!

It disturbs me, how many people think nothing of taking off these paper masks and just throwing them to the ground!

Our lovely countryside is being ruined by them, they are getting in the sea and choking wildlife.

Can people not be encouraged to buy for around four pounds, a re-usable mask as I have got! My two are cotton and I just pop them in my washing machine with my washing.

As a writer, I like to sit and reflect on the huge amount of waste. What about the possibility of some special bins for our community to put them in.

Many people have pointed this problem out as I walk my dog. I wonder if other readers have any ideas?
