Opening date changed for new Wilko in Eastbourne

The store will now open on Thursday April 13 in time for the bank holiday weekend.

The homeware and household goods shop had originally planned to open on the day before.

Anthony Houghton, retail director at Wilko said, “Work is well underway on our new Wilko store at Sovereign Harbour Retail Park, which is now set to open on Thursday April 13.

“The 8,100 sq ft store will be an exciting addition to the local retail offering and we’re looking forward to introducing customers to our range of quality products at everyday low prices.”

It takes over at the old site of Brantano, which closed its store on December 24 after the firm was put into administration last year.
