North Bersted youngsters dress for the occasion
An array of characters turned up at the event held on Halloween by the Trees Estate Residents' Association.
Some 30 children converged on Laurel Grove in a wide range of scary costumes.

Hide AdThose taking part in the fancy dress competition were joined by adults or brothers and sisters. Most of them were dressed up as well.
The unenviable task of choosing two winners '“ a boy and a girl '“ fell to police community support officer Bill Prior, on his last night's duty on the estate.
Having decided the winners, he reminded them about staying together and not worrying or scaring people too much before sending them off to have a good time, complete with sweets and glowsticks as a treat from the association.
Gez Watson, the association's chairman, said everyone had enjoyed a good time.

Hide Ad"For the first time ever the association received no complaints from residents about irresponsible trick or treaters, so we will certainly repeat this type of event in the future," she stated.
