Nativity with music

THE Heathfield Drama Club is presenting the musical of the Nativity 'Follow That Star at Heathfield Community Centre until tomorrow (Saturday, December 8).

The club has children from 28 different schools in the area.

The cast of 65 are aged between five and 18. They include children who have performed at the London Palladium and Glyndebourne. Two are in panto in Tunbridge Wells and Crawley, one is performing at Trinity Arts Centre this Christmas.

Ryan Barker who is playing the Angel Chicago is one of the youngest ever members to be accepted on the National Youth Theatre Course.

On Wednesday afternoon the cast who come from Eastbourne, Hailsham, Heathfield and surrounding areas, performed to a full house of children from local primary schools.

Heathfield Drama Club competes in local festivals in Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne with amazing results. Members have also entered the All England One Act Play Festival and done very well.
