MP opens beauty salon

THE RETREAT beauty salon, in St Leonards Road, held an open day to celebrate their recently refurbished premises and to launch a Natural Beauty range.

Local MP Gregory Barker officially opened the salon, and throughout the day guests were given the opportunity to sample the salon's organic Eco-friendly products and services.

Owner Emma Hollamby said:

"We wanted to open up the shop to show everyone the changes. We have completely natural organic services, such as facials, and even organic hair colours too.

"With our Eco friendly Ethos we can provide superior treatments whilst also caring for our environment. Our clients can enjoy having their hair and bodies pampered knowing the products are ethically sourced."

Speaking after the opening Greg enthused:

"Amid the continuing recession, it is great to see a local enterprise with the confidence to expand and develop their business.

"Emma must be one of Bexhill's youngest entrepreneurs, but when you see all the happy customers, and her innovative and environmentally responsible approach to her business, it is not hard to see why she is so successful.

"I wish her and her team, and of course her local customers, all the best for 2010."

Whilst some guests were treated to free Organic Hair treatments and blowdries, others chose a relaxing hand massage with an organic clay mask. Senior Stylist Iris wowed the crowd with her amazing and original hair-up work, using only organic hair products with not an aerosol in sight.

Emma said the day had been a great success:

"Everyone enjoyed trying out the products and having a look round the newly refurbished salon. It was a chance for gueststo meet the team and ask for advice on hair, beauty and the environment. Gregory Barker has a keen interest in our changes and it was great to have him supporting us today."
