More than a million for Rustington's St Barnabas shop

Over the years the shop, at 56, The Street, has contributed more than 1m to the St Barnabas fund and on Friday, May 25, a special birthday party was held with drinks and cake.

Members of the Rustington Friends of St Barnabas group were also there.

With a team of 40 volunteers, the shop is well-staffed and manager Trudi Gordon praised the hard work of everyone who helps out.

"We have a great team here, "she said. "We have our regulars and others who can come in at short notice if needed and everyone gets on and has fun.

"I'd like to say thanks to all our customers who support us here.

Without their help the hospice couldn't keep running so they are very important to us."
