MONTH-LONG ROAD CLOSURE

East Sussex County Council will remove debris that has slipped from the embankment onto the verge and install a rock wall to prevent the slippage from recurring.

The C14, north of Mayfield centre, opposite the fire station and BT depot will be closed to through traffic while the work goes on.

A diversion will operate both ways along the A267 Mayfield by-pass, C14 Wellbrook, Stone Cross, Station Rd and High St.

Access will be maintained for residents of Meadow Rise and the bus route.

Access will also be maintained for the fire station and the BT depot.

Access for residents may be limited during working hours 7.30am to 5pm.

During this time access should be arranged locally with the Supervisor.

Pedestrian access during this time will not be severely affected however may be temporarily restricted from time to time due to movement of heavy plant and machinery.

Work is due to start on Monday, February 26 and last for a month.
