MARSH FARMER LEADS THE WAY

A PEVENSEY farmer is the first in Britain to receive a new subsidy awarded for environmental protection.

He said: 'It's very exciting to be acknowledged as the first HLS agreement holder in England.

'I would strongly encourage other farmers to look into joining '“ it can make good farming sense, is good for the environment and will improve the public's view of farmers if we're seen to be taking good care of our land.'
