Man rushed to hospital after cars and bus crash in Peacehaven

A man has been taken to hospital this morning (Wednesday, April 6) after a crash between two cars and a bus in Peacehaven.

Emergency services were called to the A259 South Coast Road, near the junction with Bolney Avenue, shortly after 10.15am to reports of two adults and a child injured in a collision.

Two ambulances and a paramedic car attended the scene. One man, aged in his 40s, was fully conscious but immobilised in the collision. He was placed on a spinal board and in a neck brace as a precaution for potential injuries and taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

The other adult and child were discharged from the scene.

The incident has caused disruption on the roads in Peacehaven, with traffic queueing to the Sutton Avenue junction and Mayfield junction.
