Man punched in unprovoked attack in Littlehampton

Police are appealing for witnesses after the 67-year-old victim who was walking in Highdown Drive on Friday, December 30 between 8pm and 8.30pm, noticed three men walking towards him.

Without warning or provocation one of them then punched him in the face causing him to fall.

The man suffered cuts and bruising to his face and was taken to Worthing Hospital for treatment.

The three men were last seen walking towards Worthing Road. The offender is described as white, aged about 19 or 20, 5ft 6in tall, of slim build and was wearing a maroon coloured hooded top with the hood up. The other two men are described as being taller than the suspect and also of slim build.
