Man dies in Littlehampton road crash
A MAN died after his car crashed into a lamp post in Littlehampton.
The 56-year-old, from the town, is believed to have ben taken ill as he drove his white Mercesdes C180 along Fitzalan Road yesterday (Sunday, January 30), just before 7.30pm.
He was taken to Royal Sussex Hospital, in Brighton, but died from his injuries today.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, or anyone who may have seen the car in the time leading up to the incident, to call 0845 60 70 999, quoting Operation East Heath.
