Knight to remember

Amusing anecdotes of life as an honorary member of the French knighthood were explained by John Bailey to Bognor Regis Twinning Association members.

John dressed in his regalia as a Chevalier to explain his knowledge and interest in the production of French wines and spirits, mainly calvados, pommeau and cider.

More than 50 members of the Bognor Regis Twinning Association enjoyed the evening of Normandy tastings along with several non-members at South Bersted Church Hall.

John was assisted by his wife Gill to describe in detail the creation of calvados, pommeau and cider from apples grown in this region of France, which is one of his specialities.
