Iden

The Open Gardens in Iden all happen on Sunday 9th June, - this weekend. Visitors are welcome from noon until 5 pm, with surprises ! Tickets will be available for £5 at Iden Stores and at all participating gardens on the day. Teas will be available - but I’m not sure where. The thing to do is go along and find out. Usually there are delicious scones, home-made jam and cream.

All proceeds will go towards the restoration of Iden Church.

The members of the large audience who heard young Thomas Harris play the piano so beautifully recently, may like to know that he will be performing in Winchelsea Church on 22nd June at 7 pm. It will be an opportunity to follow his career. He takes up a place to read music at Trinity Hall, Cambridge in October. Tickets are £10 available from Winchelsea Post Office and at the door.The next POP IN Coffee Morning will be on Monday 10th, to coincide with the visit of the Mobile Library. It is a little while since all of this happened, so, welcome back.

The Mobile Library will be at the village hall from 12.05 to 12.45 on Monday.

Iden W.I. has the next meeting on Tuesday 11th June at 7.30 pm in the Village Hall.

The mid-week services continue on Wednesday at 9.30 am for Morning Prayer and 3.30 pm for Evening Prayer.

The 9.30 am service will be Parish Communion led by the Vicar.
