Hospice says thank you

A RECEPTION was held for runners who raised money for St Michael's Hospice.

The hospice wanted to thank participants for the thousands of pounds raised by supporters.

Medical director Dr Dick Board thanked all those who ran for their efforts.

Thanks were also given to 1066 Housing Association for its sponsorship of the new hospice t-shirt which was worn by the runners during their marathon.

Cheryl Davis, who works for the hospice, said: "Many of the runners mentioned how motivational it was to hear the crowd cheering 'Come on St Michael's' as they ran along the route.

"Thanks again to everyone who ran."

The hospice benefited by 12,368.
