‘Taming Tigers’, the latest teen-fiction book from the well-known writer, received attention from many publishers before being snapped up by American house Melange Books LLC.

The novel follows Daisy’s previous young adult novels, ‘Roadkill’ and ‘Killing Time’, and will be the first in a trilogy that follows the adventures of 17-year old Talia on her way to seek a better and more prosperous life.

Her dreams of starting again are shattered by an incident that leaves her alone in the middle of the desert. Isolated and caught between countries, the heroine faces a choice: love or revenge.

Caroline Andrus from Melange Books acquisitions said: “I finished reading Taming Tigers last night and I loved it.

“I literally couldn’t put it down and had no idea how things would turn out for most of the book.

“That’s something you don’t see every day.”

Director at Literally PR, Helen Lewes is delighted to represent Daisy’s novel. She explained: “I’ve followed Daisy’s career from afar with amazement and admiration for some years now. As a Mum and entrepreneur I recognise the challenges she must face but seemingly overcomes with finesse.

“Her latest book has been described as ‘Hunger Games meets Wild’, certainly strong connections I’d be proud of as an author.

Yet, whichever comparisons are made, the fact that Daisy had such incredible success attracting interest from a number of publishers - very quickly - and the exciting, beautifully written storyline, make this a book I would want to share with my teenage children (when they’re old enough!) while also happily recommending to any friends who enjoy quality, gritty, fantasy fiction.”

As well as being a successful writer, Daisy also runs her own business from her “Booktique” in Horsham as a pop-up shop and events consultant. She recently launched the Pop Up Horsham project to help entrepreneurs get on the high street through a short-term shop lease and won the 2014 Business Matters Award for Innovation.
