Hair salon staff are a cut above

Staff and customers at a Bognor Regis hair salon have taken their contribution to Children in Need close to £30,000.

The milestone in the charity endeavours of Robins Hair Studio moved 1,039 closer with the proceeds from last Friday's antics.

The six members of staff on duty wore Pudsey Bear bandanas and T-shirts to get in the mood for their latest fundraising day.

A full window display and decorations in the Aldwick Road salon added to the fun.

The donations arrived through a raffle, a guess the weight of a jar of sweets competition and a book sale.

The salon, under previous owner Robin Mills, has consistently backed Children in Need. Current owner Dawn Jeffery said: "I would like to thank everyone for their support and generosity this year.

"Without the generous spirit of customers, shops and businesses in our area, we could not make this happen."
