GCSE results: Robertsbridge Community College record-breakers

There were exciting scenes at Robertsbridge Community College as pupils collected record-breaking GCSE results on Thursday (August 20).

The results were the school’s best ever with 66 per cent of pupils gaining at least five A*-Cs including English and mathematics.

Many subject areas achieved their best ever results and there were some incredible individual pupil successes.

Five pupils achieved eight or more A and A* grades and 11 per cent of pupils left with five or more A* and A grades.

Also celebrating were some year ten pupils who had taken their GCSE mathematics examinations a year early and achieved 23 A* and A grades.

Acting head teacher Doug Downs said: “I am delighted that our pupils have achieved such outstanding results.

“The hard work and dedication of our pupils and staff has been instrumental in this and we look forward to further success in the future.”
