'FAB' TEACHER WINS NATIONAL AWARD
An East Grinstead teacher, who ran an equity sales desk on a City trading floor before training as a teacher, has won a national teaching award.
Nick Wergan, who teaches at Sac kville School, East Grinstead, says his City trading skills stand him in great stead in the classroom, where as an English teacher he has to 'sell' books to children.
He received his award on Sunday in front of a 2,000 strong audience at the London Palladium, where he was praised for his 'commitment, dedication and innovative teaching style'.
