PRESERVATION SOCIETY: The society invites you to a talk entitled Attempting a Good Life in a Sussex Wood by Chris Yarrow. Learn, how, against all the odds a family succeeded in making a living from just 63 acres of an old wood, breathing new life into it. That transformed a nondescript Sussex wood into a much loved working woodland park near the village of Hadlow Down. With self-deprecating humour, forester Chris will recount their ups and downs. The talk will take place tonight (Friday) at 7.30pm in the village hall. Admission is free to members, guests welcome at £4 each. For more information, please contact Toni Whewell on 01825 872460.
