DUMPED!

THIS was the dramatic scene as a 12-wheel truck turned over on a major road and hurled most of its 44 tonnes of waste into a pretty front garden.

The incident brought chaos to the main Bexhill to Eastbourne route at Little Common.

The massive lorry failed to negotiate the Greyhorses Bends at Barnhorn Road, turned over on his side amid a deafening noise and managed to avoid hitting lunchtime traffic and pedestrians.

The driver was plucked from the wreckage and taken to hospital.

Nine hours of traffic restrictions were imposed as heavy lifting gear was brought in and a huge clear-up operation started.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
